The term labor of love is certainly relevant here. Though they've often performed on stage together this marks their first venture into recording an actual duet album.
All the songs, with their own unique and  elegant arrangements are purposely chosen, to illustrate the up, down, and sideways experiences one can  have in a long loving relationship.  Great standards such as Just in Time, How About You, Thanks For The Memory,  Nevertheless, are mixed in with fun tunes such as (Hoagy Carmichael's)  quirky Two Sleepy People, It All Depends On You, plus, a cool arrangement and performance of  This Guy's In Love With You by special guest Paul Shaffer.
